Put a PDF file into a pro-e drawing

I am trying to geta PDF file into a pro-e drawing cleanly.

Iam able to PDF into the drawing but the final image is kind of washed out.

I have Adobe Acrobat distiller, Corel draw. But with all of this I
still can't get a good clean images into the pro drawing.

I start in the excel spreadsheet.

Select the cells of the table I need, print to Acrobat. When it is
open in Acrobat I select the table with the Graphics select tool. I
pick edit copy.

I then open Corel draw, past in the image. Save this as a corel
file.

I open the pro drawing, insert object, browse to the Corel file,
select OK and it inserts.

I drag the image to size it.

This all works well but the image is a little fussy.

Another method is to use a camera tool in excel, go straight to Corel,
it comes in very clear in Corel, But I can't get it to load into the drawing.

Hopefully there is a better way that I don't know about.

Any one know one?

When it comes in as a .bmp it loads the program into the pro-e drawing that was used to make the bitmap. Just will not work for me. Loading in a tiff just gets me the tiff icon, bring in a pdf also loads the adobe icon. If I select the icons it then opens the file I want in the drawing but its opened into the parent program.

It should load Paint into the drawing and if you double click on the image it will activate the Paint program. Typically what we do here is create a bmp (by various means) then in Pro Insert>Object>Create from File and browse to the location of the bitmap (the Link box is not checked). And our drawings turn out pretty clear. Then what we do for a viewable is to plot that drawing with image as a pdf. Viewables for regular drawings are currently hpgl files, but we have plans to switch those over to pdf as well, so all viewables will be pdf documents.

Audctrl,

I tried your medthod of using paint to make a bitmap, then insert into the drawing it worked very well.

thank you so much for your help

I want to let you know what I finally came up with to get the Excel Spread Sheet into a Pro-e Drawing. The Excel Spread Sheet was originaly made into the PDF. I found a better way.
<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
1. In the spreadsheet select the entire table, then select the Icon of a Camera.

I'd suggest saving these steps to a text document or something. Someone is bound to ask this question again...
