Quantity parameter in component drawing.

Oliver Coelho

Hi,

I wanted to automate the quantity column in atablefor my component drawing, so that it shows the quantity of the component in the assembly. The same drawing file contains the assembly drawing too, but in a different sheet. Currently, I do it manually from the assembly BOM.

I tried the '&rpt.qty' in a repeat region with 'mbr.name' but always get it as "1". Also, i tried 'column model/qty' but it changes the mbr.name too. Could someone give me a workaround.

Thanks,

Be sure you set up your table region attributes to have No Duplicates. (With duplicates you will only have one of each item, every screw listed

My problem is that this table is not the BOM of the entire assembly, but only of the part. I have set it exactly as you shown it.

This drawing sheet only details the component and the table shows only component parameters. I wanted this table to show the quantity of the component in the assembly. Actually this drawing is meant for the manufacture of the component. I wanted help in transferring the value of the rpt.qty to the component parameter.

Oliver,

Change the properties of the repeat region so that it is driven by the assembly model, then use a filter to remove all components except the oneshown on that sheet. For example, if the component's name is part_a.prt, thenadd the filer &asm.mbr.name == part_a.
