Section not updating

I'm a lazy person

(but lazyness invented the wheel

) so I try to re-use as much as possible. So, having to model 2 similar assemblies I first finished one, made a drawing of it and then copied both assy and drawing to a new name. I then modified the copied assembly as needed. (The only view on the drawing is a section view.)


However when opening the drawing after the modif I find that the original section is still there. Regenerating model AND draft doesn't seem to change anything. But when I click in the modeltree on one of the items that are different in relation to the original assy I can see the model that should be there highlighted.


Meanwhile I have found that modifying the view to no XSEC and then reapplying the XSEC does update the section.


Now the question : is there some sort of setting I'm missing or is this ProE (2001) ?

have u checked if the copied drawing has the original model or the copied model which you intended?

Trytoupdate all views MENU-View/Update/All sheets. I know when one saves an assembly which have already a drawing the drawing is also copied too,I've checked now and I looked on the view info, it belongs to the new object /part/assembly. Is your previous drawing with multi-models?, Does your Xsection belong to the current (set) model?

Positive (or at least "done what I could") on all questions and suggestions. The fact that the highlight over the section showed the model that was actually connected to the copied drawing prooves that ProE "knows" what geometry lies behind. The problem is (was) that the section view remained old geometry, no matter what update I asked for. Only removing the section and re-applying cured this behaviour.


It's like some sort of "forced" update is necessary for sections without parent.
