Section problem: angle

Hai!

I have a problem, i want something, but don't know if ProE 2001 wants this as well. I don't want to create a X-section of a part in a drawing that is perpendicular to the datum plane you have to select first.

I want a section that is at an angle from a view, but won't be placed at an angle from this view. I want it above or next to it.

I hope this is clear...Sorry if my english is bad and i don't know how to explain it properly.

Hi,

I am really sorry.I am not able to understand your problem.if you are not able to express yourself in words then put some pics.

View attachment 2593So this is what i have, the section is made from the horizontal datumplane. What i want is a section of an other datumplane, also shown in this picture, which is at an angle from the horizontal one. But what i also want is that the position of the section view is the same as in the picture. So not at an angle somewhere in the right corner. But ProE doesn't seem to want to do that.

I hope this is better,

thanx!

Hi,

If I have understood your problem correctly, you want to create the section view and orient the view perpendicular to the section plane. create the view in viewmanager using the section datum plane as reference and in the drawing use the same view name for placement in the view type and then create the section.

Hope this will help you

Okej, I want the section view to have an angle with the section plane. So i't not parallel to eachother.

Or is it not possible?

I work with Proe2001 StudentEdition by the way

Thanks again!

there are two ways which comes to my mind about this case

first > Insert> Drawing View > Auxiliary - You should have an axis for the direction You want to place Your view, but remember it will be placed along this axis not free

second - make a special orientation in model, than create a general view with prepared earlier orientation, than You can freely move Your view on the drawing

Create auxiliary view as normal. Convert it into a general view. if you need to have the converted general view move with other view that it was created from use the alignment feature. you may not have this flexibility with student ed. If not, the second way by "muadib3d" would work in student ed.
