HI GUYS


In reply of geometry check, I am starting an example problem of just a little error in geometry and it will not show any error in geometry checks. Just u find it and solve it (make a little change in dims) and make it shell with 2.3 mm thickness. when anybody solve it plz post the pics and pin point the problem and solution. I had make it final, I just make another challenge for u people who want to know about geometry check and little geometry errors.

zaki could you save it to WF 2.0 format(comercial)?

here what i have

File D:\Mine_only\Mine\challenge\master_receiver.prt.2 was created in a newer release of Pro/ENGINEER.
 
actually its made with wf3. I am sorry. but may tommorow I will post a part in wf2 format. bcoze if I export it, nobody can make changes. I must create from start
 
When I tried investigating the failed feature in the current model with the 2.3 mm shell, the system highlighted this region. Is this where we should be trying to fix?

Hi guys


today I received a pm from AHA-D ( I dont know his name). He tell me that whenever he goes to my site, a drive cleaner tries to run. Actually I had made site by the free offer of FreeServers.com. Plz install google toolbar on your pc and enable its pop up blocker. also enable popup blocker of your explorer. after that no drive cleaner will try to run when u access my site. I had checked it. popup blocker also prevent from a lot of things like this.
 
I tried the wf 2.0 part and problems occured with 2.5 mm thickness, but I have no geom check, I can not only make a shell with such dim

however the problem can be solved with changing the properties for one feature only - I won`t say now which one;)

but, Zaki, check me if I recognized good the cause of the problem

just solve the shell issue. the clue is, it is only one feature to change dimension/constraint a little and it will shell at 2.3mm thickness
 
Zaki,

the wf2 version shells to 2.3 without any changes and no geometry checks in the info section. Was that the intent? Of course there is still the issue in "certain" spots as has been described. I will try the wf3 later.

I faced a problem with shell with dim 2.5 for thickness, I suppose this could also be taken in the same manner as geom check in wf 3.0

I tried that too and saw the same. The issue is to find the "tweak" that Zaki hid. I am hoping the big prize is worth the effort... hehe

no I do not change any dim value in model

I only change sets for one feature, that is all, but none dim

but it could also be that wf 2.0 version is slighty different than wf 3.0

I think Zaki has to clear this case of these two models

I didnt say to change any specified item/entity. change whatever u can or u understand. I gave u a clue that just a little change in a dimension and the shell problem will solved. the theme of this challenge is to recognize the problem, solve it and get the results. some times we are not concerning the mathematical problems should arise due to some geometry and we blame the software. It is a High End CAD not artwork designing software. It must check and calculate every thing. sometimes, bad results of calculations does not effect the results but sometimes effects like this case. u guys are very close to pin point the problem and I hope (100%) that u will solve it. It is very small case. ok the time limit is start and tommorow 12 GMT it will over and I will give u the solution. and a new geometry problem child ( a new part to split the mold)
 
the problem is same for both users, wf3 n wf2. its not changed. as u pm me muadib3d, its only a dimension change required. the patch is essential, we cant remove it.
