I have a part that has a ext copy geom feature in a part that references a model gives the overall size and shape of the product I am designing. Now I need to be able to show those dimensions in the drawing for that part.
the point is that You do not copy the feature as it is, with all details, but You only copy info about placement and a shape of feature what ever it is - axis, surfaces and so on
so if you create for example a body in the top down design and You built Your body on another one You will miss dimension in Show\Erase because Your model does not have dimesnions itselfs
so only way You can do it is by making dimesnions on drawing manualy
