Simplify Rep in darwing.

Hi all,


I have a part with some simplify rep. But created the drawing using master rep.


Now I want to change this to one of the rep...Unlike in assembly drawings...part drawing view does not allow to change rep by dropdown menu...we have to create the view right from scratch again!!!!.....I think PTC is reserved this option for wildfire - 10 Release !!!!... Hope every user is in same page...

I know this will sound crazy, But I think the only wayu to show a part simp rep is to create a assembly and insert that part with the rep and then create an assembly simplified rep and then place that on the drawing. Then, after you stop laughing, remember i'm only the messenger!

The view states options on the view properties dialog box have always been related to assemblies.

OK...THIS QUESTION IS DIRECTLY TO PTC....


In that case why it is showing shaded in part drawing viewif it is only for asm?


and what is the logic behind it? Is it not useful if we can change rep in drawing view properties?....It is really painful to create drawing once again from scratch if we want to change the rep....I think only user can feel this pain and no one else..

They have always, as long as I've been using ProE,greyed out options that are not available for selection during the current task.

Yes right....


Donot know logic behind available in Assy and not in part level...eventhough it is very much required in part level.

Hope this will available in next version of Proe
