What is the correct way to ADD a centerline? For instance if I have a 2" box, and I want a centerline in the middle to show symmetry, how do I add this correctly show that it follows the view?
In your model, add a centreline at the intersection of the base datums that will be perpendicular to the 'page' in your drawing (Note, this assumes that you did your model symmetrically about those base datums). In your drawing, show/erase the axis in the view you want and off you go.
I am having a similar problem. (See image below.) I want a centerline displayed across the bottom of the half section in the view shown on the left. I have tried using "Show/Erase" to display the axis in this view. This technique worked fine in the view on the right. But for some reason, no linedisplays in the left view. I have symmetry line selected in the view properties under Visible Area for the attached image. However, I wouldprefer not to have the double vertical tick marksdisplayed on either side. It would also be nice to avoidactually sketching a centerline. Any suggestions?
