Hello,
We have developed a complete new small car in Solidworks. The body is created using surfaces. The prototype of the car in real life is ready and now I'm going to the next step of making part manuals ect. I noticed that I can't make section views of surface models, they have to have a thickness. So I tried to thicken my body parts, but that isn't easy at all.
Some parts of my body are able to thicken, but some complex parts won't. I've tried using offset surfaces and then use trim, extend etc to have a closed part then using knit surface and I hoped then I could make a solid. But that box won't light up and stays gray.
Does anybody have experience with this and can help me?
I've added a screenshot of a part of the bodywork
Thanks in advance.
