sreenivasan,

The bom is made up as a repeat region which as the name suggests, keeps repeating until all items in the assembly have been included in the BOM. One of the columns is usually given a report symbol called rpt_index which increments from the top of the BOM to the bottom. If this index number is not "FIXED" then any new parts could appear in the middle of the table as the table is probably setup in an ascending or descending order on the model names. The commands for altering anything to do with a BOM table are under the Table > Repeat Region menu when in a drawing. One of the Tble Region commands accessed through Table > Repeat Region is one called "Fix Index". Use this and then click inside the BOM table. This will make another menu appear called FIX INDEX in which you can Fix a particular record number or unfix it should you make a mistake. Click FIX > RECORD, select a BOM line and you should be prompted for a number.

Goodl luck and if you get any more problem with Fixing the index, let me know and I will try to help you.
