Two Instance, One Drawing?

Hello!

I wonder if there is a way to have two instance in the same drawing. I want to add the second instance on the same drawing as the generic model. I don't want the family table in the drawing, just the views.

You can add the instance to the drawing using File>Properties>Drawing Models>Add Model. When you select the generic part a dialog box should come up and allow you to select the instance to add. To insert views for that instance you need to set the instance as the active model.

When you add the second model it automatically becomes the active one. You can immediately go into adding a general view.

I try to do as you recommended but get the message:

Model "chair_INST" already is used by drawing "chair".

Any new suggestions??

And if I try to replace this new model, all models on the drawings changes to this new instance.

Hej Joanna
It seems like the instance is already in the drw. Try with "set model" instead (same menu as "add model"). The instance should be in the list. Then go ahead with creating the views.
When finished, I reccomend you to go back and set the model to the generic again (or what ever you preffer). The model that is set as active is what normally drives your parameters in the drawing header when adding or changing formats.

regards
Anders
