user name login id in the drawing format

Hi
I dont know if it is possible to use your windows username or login, but if you use Intlraink or PDMLink you can type theese string in your drawing format/template.

Intralink 3.x
&PROI_CREATED_BY

PDMLink 8:
&PTC_WM_MODIFIED_BY
or
&PTC_WM_CREATED_BY

/KH

Outside Intralink & Windchill, there is an option &MODELED_BY, which can be used to put names in, butyou will have to manually do this.

We are using Wildfire 4 now, and was wondering if someone found a way. The Audit trail shows the NT user id, so there must be a way to use this..

If it is only the Login ID, you need not put any parameter. You can make it appear during printing. There is an option in the print setting window. Only when you have tick marked the option, ensure that you have scaled down the drawing (for print) to 0.95 or 0.9.

I bet you could create a script / batch file to equate a string parameter in ProE to the windows variable %username%. I know you can import a text file into relations. So, then you would just have to generate the text file from a batch file. The batch file could be run from a mapkey within Pro/E.

Perhaps, you should try the development forum for this. (They would have more experience at creating these tools than many of us.)
