view outline size

Hello,

I am doing drawings for parts that were made using copied geometry. some of the geom is far from the part and as a result, the drawing view outlines are huge.

It's very annoying trying to pick a view, I have to zoom way out to be able to select them.

One solution that was proposed was to make thethe visible area a partial view.

This does work, but I'm wondering if there is a better way of doing it.

Thanks

This is one of the challenges of working with copy geometry features. If the geometry that is too large are curves or surfaces, they can be trimmed back with various curve or surface features. If they are datums, there's not much you can do.

It wold be great if there was a way to set a view boundary to be the size of the solid geometry, but there is not.
