WF2 hangs when creating PDF

I have Wildfire2 withAdobe Acrobat Distiller 4.05 installed on my machine. When I try to create a PDF of a drawing by hitting the icon or usingfile/save a copy, the pdf is created successully but thenPro/E just hangs (hour glass cursor displayed). The only way to resolve the issue is to kill Pro/E using the task manager.

I've searched the forum for this but can't find anything. Has anyone come across this before? Any suggestions for what the trouble might be?

Thanks.

I have noticed problems with Pro/E created PDF's as well. Missing lines, the text font changing, causing text to spill out of the title block cells they fit in etc. Also one drawing crashed every time.

One more thing, I am currently using PDF995 to create PDF's with out the missing line problems. Only thing is what you see on the screen is hard to reed.

Thank for the replies so far. The odd thing is that the PDF creates succesfully, gets dumped in the working directory and looks fine. The problem is that after PDF creation WF2completely locks up and is unusable.

The work around is to create a postscript file andput it through distiller outside of Pro/E as I used to do with 2001. That works OK but its very slow compared with clicking a icon within WF2.

With cutepdf you create a pdf by clicking on the print button and selecting as printer cutepdf, then it will ask you where to save. Works every time.

I don't know about the other programs mentioned here but I guess they work the same way. And pdf making this way works from any programs that have a print command not only PRO-E.
