Miko u got it right i have used SWEPT BLEND (CUT)feature for the cuts on tire so u got any different set fo ideas to improve this alloy why dont u try n make an alloy wheel paste pics on this thread i guess i can learn why me everybody can learn a bit from this thread abt alloy design CP wanna share some tips abt alloy wheel design
This is warping thorn which is use for create(excision)screwline to the gun-barrel ofsome kind ofweapon. I am always trying to create photorealystic color and shine of steel or chrome, but without good result.
Does anybody know right combination ofcolors (R,G,B)shine and light forcreating chrome effect? Can anybody help me?
I guess this will be helpful for u just switch off the ambient lighting and place a light above the part and one in the front
Isair nice model i wish i could model it but i will try it out how come u achieve such realistic image can u plz share a tip or two with us and how come u achieve tht white background it would be really help ful if u let us know abt this
Well simply I just fallow CP's tips and this is one of results
Here is short description what I use for this render:
For render I used Photolux with High quality (also under Room I turned on: Render Room, Light Room, Shadows)
In Room Editor, setup position on wheal on floor, turn of display of all walls and ceiling (leave only floor), for floor material I use porcelain (I think it was porcelain) from photolux library.
Then I setup lights adding one lightbulb over model, and one in front of model.
For wheal I used polished aluminum material and for tire rubber.
Thats it
Tire and Rim Association mandates dimensions governing tires and rims. But like most standards organizations, these dimensionscan onlybe obtained at a ridiculous price.
Other sites showing basic sketches ofrim (wheel)dimensions.
Thanks ISAIR and ncprog for the response i will surely go thru tht site and isair i will work out on the render and lets see with what i can come out with
Trying to reinvent the wheel! Clever design technique! Good Luck, sorry that I amlost forany helpful tips on this one! ... But maybe, ... you might want to try the tetrahedron shape or even better yet ... a Octahedron, Dodecahedron, or Icosahedron shape!
Oh, by the way, nice chip effect on the corner, just curious, did that come from motion analysis in the Structural Simulation Module? Edited by: ncprog
Yeah, I ran the model through some motion analysis and it doesn't roll
very well but it slides good. The chip happened when I simulated a
crash into a brick wall. The best thing about this design is it doesn't
require any air and repairs are easy with some ready mix.
Toroidal bend is by far the best way to mmake a ritre but also the most annoying feature. The damn thing will constantly fail for no reason, likely just a vary in a dimension or small poroportions will get it to pass. Oh, and the biggest anoyance is that I am yet to design a tire, do the toroidal bend, then change something in the tread design and regenerate and pass. It always fails!!!
Final thought...
Toroidal bend is basically the real way to make a tire but is it worth your time if it continues to fail. I would determine how much detail you really need before you choose to get screwed over by the feature. Then again, you may get lucky and it will pass the first time enabling you to continue with your project. I have literally spent 4 hours trying to get a tire tread to revolve.
These tires were made with Toroidal bend, not my final tires because I hate the tread on it, its my name and doesnt look right. Plus, the tire is too thin. The colored render is just a quick render so you can see the tread, chromne looks like hell.
wat did u use to get tht kind of spokes i mean did u use isdx or just simple protrusion sweeps etc its just excellent iam abt to post my wheel which i just modelled its into its rendering stage iam sure it wont match CP's model but i gave it try
LMAO at Megaladon & Phoxoey, I am the pro-e noob and all of my serious models look like that, haha nice to see some people having fun with pro-e and taking away the serious side of things for a change
But.... back to being serious. Nice work again there CP, I must say your modelling is super. Have you thought of approaching companies and offering your "contracted" services for advertisements etc
Happen to model a alloy wheel in my free hour and just did quick rendering its not yet finished may i will post my complete pics tomorrow i know its not perfect or as good as CP but iam still tryin to reach somehwere near to him (i know it would take me hell lot of time n practise to be on CP level) waitin for response guys
