PLEASE KILL IT

Find another thread to crash then jackass! You might want to hit the back button and check the hits on this thread...genius, almost 9,000 hits in a few months. The next thread in hits is 2500 and...hmmm...what do you know, another modeling and rendering thread. Either learn to appreciate other peoples work or shut the hell up! Rendering is a part of the program that you obviously dont know. Alot of people have gotten help in this thread and inspiration to better the program. Maybe you should try learning how to renderwith a little less complaining. You must be one of the guys I was talking about that sits at his computer at work and plays solitaire all day. I donthave to show my work to people, I do it to help others, which I have. Hundreds of members have downloaded my models and other peoples models to learn from and that inspiration was taken from the renders shown in this thread. I enjoy looking at other peoples renders and seeing what they are working on. Theres more to Pro-e than modeling springs and washers, think outside the box for once.

Here's an idea, how about the admin ban the members from this thread that complain about it. PROBLEM SOLVED!

This is the last forum I thought I would see whining from members. If everyone thinks this person is right then let me know and I will stop posting my work.

CPiotrowski,

Look at the interest of the members. If you don't get a posting on this thread any more then kill it otherwise let it be the longest thread of the forum.

Hi Guys,

I have not been online as much recently and not using pro-e as much as I would like, been too busy as always.

First of all rmatija that is an outrageous thing to say and you should be ashamed of yourself, and Dougr... being a charter member with 800+ posts you should know better !!

This Forum has already been a great help to me, and I have only been a member for a few weeks or so. CP has been a great help to me already...and I am a COMPLETE stranger to him, if you want to moan about his work then please do it somewhere else...because you will both find that the other 1000`s of members will completely disagree with your comments.

CP, I am sorry my friend, you must have been quite upset and offended by that comment.. trust me, there has to be atleast one idiot amongst your thousands of fans right, dont let it bother you.

Keep up the good work everybody.

This thread is simply about showing your renders and models and asking any questions pertaining to rendering or modeling. PLAIN AND SIMPLE, find another thread to spam.

Admin, please stop these two from spamming this thread. This is about rendering and modeling only.

The solution is simple, I think. There is nothing wrong with this thread as far as I can tell, except for the recent heated off-topic venting. If you don't want to read or be part of this thread, please ignore it and unsubscribe from the email notification (watches) for this topic. The topic in general is related to Pro/Engineer and and is therefore not in violation of the policies of this website. Please get back on topic and stop the flame war. Geez.

Does anybody like my render now we're back on the topic? I'm self-taught on it. It was done with the Advanced Render Extension. If anyone would like any tips I'd be glad to help if I can. I don't see any problem people showing others what they can do, provided it's in the right context. When I see good work that others have done it only motivates me to be better at what I do. What's wrong with aspiring to be your best self?

Red Devil, that looks really good!! Two questions:

1. Was it done in Pro/E (I am assuming so)

2. Was it rendered in Pro/E.

Keep up the great work guys, also PJW your stuff looks great as well!

Hi CPiotrowski, PJW and Red Devil,

you are really doing a good job, your models are motivating me a lot to try to do similar with my models - although I am still far away from similar results. But I will continue...

Thanks for all your hard work.

Professional renders guys, nice work. Just too bad the images are low-res. Everyone that wants to upload highres images should try a free hosting site like image shack. Its real hard to appreciate a model and render with a 50kb image. Very close to photorealistic red devil. I love that cut away pjw. I am a big fan of cutaway rendered models. Very sorry I havent been able to get any renders up, the Belair is taking most of my modeling time.

Nice work!

How large are your hi-res pics? Do I need to bump up the max. picture file size? I don't want a page to take forever to load, so let's try to keep it reasonable.

Does it significantly reduce the file size if you zipped it up? If so, you can upload a smaller low-res version as a graphic in the post, then attach a hi-res zip file to the post. Actually, that would be preferred. Sometimes those hi-res graphics take up the whole screen and get the web page all out of wack. Just a thought.

I would recommend bumping it up considerably. There are usually very few images on a page so I dont think sslowing the load time will be even noticeble. I would like to see 300kb. Thats just my thought. I host my own images so it doesnt really impact me but I would sure liket o be able to see all the other renders with better quality.

red devil.
That looks awesome. can i ask what texture ur using for the floor? for some reason my floors always look terrible.

as for 300k per pic... althought super nice renderings are inspiriing to see. if u think that there are 9 posts on this page. 9X300kb. = 2.7 megs. thats a long load time. i would feel sorry for people on dialup, or for that matter anyone with a limited monthly bandwidth.
