:D Don't know if you can disable it,

ui_theme standard*

Interesting, I missed this option, thank you. Basically if you set it to Wildfire_5 it's the new flashy interface, if you use "Wildfire" it looks like plain Win9x, completely flat, if you set it to "Standard" it inherits your Windows visual style (so it looks like Vista on Vista, Luna on XP and so on). Did you notice a promptness or performance increase?

That said, is there a way to get rid of the ribbon interface too?!? :D

Paolo

Is that a config.pro option? I'm not able to add this in the Options dialog box.
Also another reason not to use F000: every other time I try to print a drawing I get an error message that says "There is no default printer for this machine." after I exit pro/e and open it back up, it prints fine once and then the error message again.

Yesui_theme is Pro/E config.prooption eg line

ui_theme standard

or

ui_theme wildfire_5 (Vista or Office 2007 theme)

Ah, I got it now. The only thing is after 3 days of the new colors, I'm already used to them. I can't go back. The plain old color seems too plain old.

I have used the new Wildfire 5 F000 yesterday and today and honestly speaking ptc must be given credit for real improvment this time. Lots of problems they have solved. Except the mold option menu's are almost expired now. Lots of new stuff in mechanism, piping, welding, assembly and mechanica etc.

I beta tested WF5.0 back in November last year and spent 16 hours writing up a doc for improvement.5.0 is a significant release.

I signed a disclosure.Plus I did not email a copy to myself. As a heavy user I just made suggestions and helped the developers remember proper workflow.

Can anyone tell me how to get the dashboard back to the bottom ... ?

It used to be in Customize Screen... but its no longer there... config option no doubt ?

Another rant... WTHell has happened to revolve command. I can no longer revolve a solid by using a centreline in sketcher ? I can only revolve using a pre-set axis to revolve around. Pants !

No, you can but you have to use "Geometry centerline" instead of the simple "centerline". The former is a centerline that creates also a datum axis. I think the point here is that you can use the GCenterline to define the axis of revolution, and a regular centerline if you need more than one in your sketch.

PS: As far as i know the dashboard is locked to the top in this version :/

I figured out the centreline issue too, thanks for letting me know its not just me going crazy lol.

The first thing I did when I tried WF1 was to move the dashboard to the top. Having at the bottom meant way to much mouse travel - top menus, RH pop ups, bottom dashboard, LH toolbars. It's too bad they don't give users the choice any more, but I think you'll get used to it and appreciate it.

I also moved my model tree to the RH side so that the dashboard drop down menus don't obscure it.

Weird - maybe I'm missing something but I cant seem to drag a part directly from windows explorer into an assembly anymore. Keep getting an error message that says "Pro/ENGINEER does not recognize this file type"

I think F000 needs to go back in the oven for a few more weeks/months.
