i was trying to do reparametrization on a 3 sided surface with the degenerate point removed (the new capability) but it seems like parametrization is disabled for this type of patching.
it works just like boundary blend with control points defined, but in dymanic way.you can define and move the control points and see the effect on the uv mesh dynamically. it's similar to manupulating connectors in boundary surface feature in solidworks.
