RENDERING...Q&A and GALLERY

hiiiiiiiii

megaladon nice rendering but if it had smooth lines then it would have been different story and do change the background try it out on lighter side i mean u can use PROCELEAN sorry if i had spelled tht thing wrong n just use light infront and above the model and mix some light yellow color in ur lights dont go the red iam speakin the 1st pic chrome looks good just try out this one these are CP tips

i have better results with this settings and one thing increase the shine and the reflection and reduce the reflection on walls waitin for a upgrade of ur pic

This is a model that I rendered for a co-worker. He was going off of my idea for the wheel for the Belair. Those will likely be the brakes I will use with some small adjustments. This was the first draft, have some adjustments to do on the materials.http://www.thefreeimagehosting.com/http://www.thefreeimagehosting.com/

sorry for the bad image

i am not up to date on all the effects you can apply to images

i do not have any rendering package other than what was given with basic pro-e packagei was just showing that a chrome look could be achieved for us poor folk

i do have 1 question is it possible to animate a rendered model in pro?

Nice pic megaladon considering you use just photorender.

Yes it is possible to animate rendered model in pro (actually that was a theme I just wanted to open thread, but I haven't time to create something to show), but only if you have mechanism (this way you can animate movement in ProE).
Here is link to PTC movie:
http://www.ptc.com/appserver/mkt/products/home.jsp?&k=86 9
Chose under Animation

If you want create animation for commercial or presentation then no ProE can't animate.
But there is solution for rendering and animation check this link:
http://www.blender.org/cms/Home.2.0.html
It is free rendering and animating software that can easily import ProE files.

CP u deserve a standing ovation wat a great work and miko thats really cool stuff rendering is real good and the artefact of urs looks simply different but believe me its cool

Nice job MIKO, the electromotor looks real good.

thanks for the comment Skwasim, much appreciated. Also, what material are you going for in your previous renders, I think you stumbled onto glass. Very cool!

I noticed with this render that model quality make a big difference in the quality of the renders. The tire that he modeled on this is very basic and shows up as basic in the renders. So my point is, make sure you have small details.

Hi CP .. Thank you. I was trying to create thephotoreal render..

Limitation of uploaded pictures is stillonly 50kB. The picture of the Electromotorwhich I uploadedwas only 49kB large... too small to see more details. But interesting thing is> When I downloaded your picture of Wheel, Mustang or Belair, it was 300kBbig.. How canyouupload this bigpictures?

For examplcheck this out>2006-01-16_164757_motor.rar

Your model of Wheel, Tire is great and looks like real one

Floor is very interesting.. Did you use Cylindrical Render Room? Did you use thePhotoshop to create those special efects on the floor or is this only Bump Map function of WF 2.0? How long did youconfigure all those lights, materialsand colors?

Could wetransport the part of model from Proe WF2.0to other kind of file and than rendered itin, for example in Maya or Cinema 4D?..You are working the great job becauseI think, the work of Industrial designer without photoreal results is like Areoclub without Aero

.. Have a nice day

The tire assembly I think has 6 materials, the floor is geometry, the lighting is just second nature now so I just run righ through that. The floor is a bump and texture.

You can transport the models to other programs, I have 3DS and lightwave and they will both take Pro images with either .igs or a translater program. All rendering programs will likely take some form of translated pro-e model. Remember, my goal is not to get a photorealistic render in another rendering program,( i can do that) my goal is to get a photorealistic render in WILDFIRE. I dont know anyone (including myself) that can do thay yet. Someone mentioned a few other programs a page or so back or maybe in the belair thread. THere is also a link that they posted for a free to download render that looks much worth the time to download.

Thanks CP for the comment iam using default color on the model its just i had increase the shine and reflection and above alll the light placement and MIKO nice pic out there but go for brighter one u can use PROCELAIN as floor with just 2 light place ment iam sure ur model will look real cool

Hey Skwasim, thats a pretty funky looking table... your render looks really good too. Is your friend going to use the images for marketing etc ?

Hiskwasim_smile. This is realy simple rendering but pretty interesting ... Pretty goodpiece of glass... Floor is too interesting..Keep going :)

IRECOMMEND PUTING SOMETHING ON THE TABLE TO REPRESENT SIZE, THE MODEL LOOKS SMALL. ARE YOU SETTING YOUR PERSPECTIVE? GOOD START!
