RENDERING...Q&A and GALLERY

You are right to use a skeleton if you plan on having different parts and panels. THis is what I do but its not easy to manage if you area new pro-e user. I made the mustang as one part because I didnt have the time to do it in an assembly considering I was just messing around. I would definetly replace your pictures with blueprints. It is imparative that your three views line up as much as possible and that your able to see main body lines. Here is the print you need:

U r pefectly true.. skeletons can be pretty irritating if the references are too much or sometimes limits the flexibility.. anyway let me try with it..

I never knew such a site.. thats cool..
I will have a relook at what to do now.. Thanks CP..

looks really pretty

can anybody advice me with sotware to convert jpg to iges? free one?

I have a blueprints, and I tired with making them as textures in Pro\E to have the same result as import iges

so finally I want to convert my blueprints to iges format, any idea?

@Skwasim
Nice render, it's quite good.

@Miko
Well I see that you become expert in rendering, think I can say that you become almost good as Cpiotrowski

A question for you CP / Miko. Everytime I use ARX for rendering, the scene is always too dark no matter how many lights I have in it. Any ideas how to ensure there is sufficient lighting. Another thing too, Miko, what is the material you have used for the floor for your MP3 player render?

Cheers

The same questions here!!!
I'm able to achive enough light around model, but the rest of the room is to dark, and sometimes there is to much light in front of model.
Also I have problems picking right material for floors, I use ceramic pottery, or porcelain...

Puppet,

nice car, could you make the thickened area by offsetting the surface instead of thickening?

this thread seems to explore so much creative effort. It is good to see people learning, myself included.

cheers...

Yes good work puppet, looks like an interesting car design. Keep working hard, it seems you are certainly on the right track

hiiiii,

nice model puppet i would love to see it complete but i guess ur missing some thing in ur alloy wheels dont u feel u should have radius at the end of the tyre and the hole is really small for a nut to fit just givig my suggestion no hard feelings but apart from this its really a great stuff

Very nice render Skwasim, the chrome is nearly perfect. Your best render I have seen to date. I'm looking forward to seeing it under a frame.

Beautiful, professional renders. You just stopped me from having to show how to do ablank white studio render...thanks

-LIGHTING ISSUE

To answer the question about the lighting. One of your point lights should be 1.5 minimum for a realistic type lighting. Once you set the light...the distance will determin if its burning the model. Adjust the distance for optimal lighting. One thing that is overlooked is the darkness of the shadows. Make sure your shadowsa rent too dark.

-PUPPET

Very cool design, would be nice to see it rendered. The front clip resembles a car but I cant seem to think of the name of it. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to updates.

Hey Lads. Just wondering what ye are using to do the rendering. I have used photorender a bit but find it very lacking, have downloaded Rhino today and will have a look at that. But has anyone got any suggestions on a package where progress can be seen quickly and one that wont hurt my wallet??

99% of the renders you see on here are done with the ARX extension in Pro-E also called Photolux. Photorender is basically grarbage. I'm not sure what the price ofARX is as of recent. What version of Rhyno did you download and how much was it?
