RENDERING...Q&A and GALLERY

Skint summed it all up. ' I will beat you '
Competition is my drive and a great motivating factor. All those great
renders from cpiotrowski to the others. From the furniture renders to
past renders. It is all competitive at some point. And you always
get better at anything you try hard at. Same with sketching for
engineers. You practice you get better. Anyway those renders were
hard to chose from. So many too.

For 2006 we are thinking of doing wireless electronic gadgets. Do you have any ideas?

I am a competitive person as well. I can imagine how good a modeling and designing I would be if it were all I did. However, I perform the manufacturing as well. Hopefully, I will be able to build my bike to show you guys, but it may not be the "best."

Cheers

I do have one old idea, and now a lot of new ones, but must sort them and see what will be best to work on. Just let us know when competition will start.

I know the PTC competition deadline is due by next month sometime. I might enter that one. Sounds like we need to come up with something like this on our own. A monthly model off.

Yeah would be a laugh, good bit of fun. I know I dont stand any chance of beating you guys yet ( apart from Isair, beat him easily

) but it would encourage me to practice on pro-e at home.

Well, i'm not talking about an extremely complex model, something everyone can model or atleast give a good effort.

hiiiii

as Skint said was away from pro-e and this forum for while well good competition going out here hey CP u keep on impressing us with ur rendering keep up the good work man and Skint iam looking forward for ur challenge with isair

keep doing the great work guys

The mustang has been uploaded for people to download. Contact the Admin to find out how to get it. Does anyone have an idea what we could all do for a model contest? Something that wont take too long but will challenge the modelers to make a nice model and render.

Cpiotrowski

Nice idea of our own competition

But I don't have anything in mind what we could model, I agree the it should be simple but challenging.
I will search over net to find some examples and then make suggestion, or maybe in morning would have any better idea.

A model off? I suggest something that each of us could go out and purchase. Like a Galette Razzor shaving cream lid. I was going to do that for design-engine.com at one point but never got around to it. Can Design-engine.com or Pro/E tools could sponsor it in conjuction.

Model the lid with or without surfaces. Have two prizes. Use Solidworks - Pro/E - Catia.

hiiii

CP lets make a poll for the models to be in the competition i mean lets shortlist few models and poll on it i know its a kind of lenghty procedure but everyone would get the chance to decide so wat u say Design-engine,Isair,Skint

Yeah I think we could all come up with a few suggestions. Before I post mine, is this a Modelling competitionin terms of just rendering a final image, or will design intent and originality etc all be taken into consideration ? I think the first topic should be something that most people are familiar with, something that people see or are aware of on a daily basis, this was no-body should get stuck for ideas andshould also be able to get samples themselves to base thier ideas around
smiley2.gif
....and the contest has to be conceptual design aswell as rendering capabilities so there should be no Copying of an existing product right ?

We should also have the competition in its own thread as to limit bandwith lol, if we start posting here there will be too many pages and some people still have slower connections. I will start a newthread with my first 3 chosen items, or perhaps 3 chosen " subjects ".

Check it out

I have put my suggestions in the created thread, I need to go back and add a few things to it tho. There isnt much I can do as far as getting you the mustang model. Its a 70meg file so you will only be able to upload it from here. One of the admin on here should know how to get it.

Yes, but its the same basic renderer that you get with any of the other Pro-E versions. You have to purchase the ARX upgrade.

and thanks Foolmankh.
