RENDERING...Q&A and GALLERY

I believe this is the image he is talking about:

That pen looks nice, some writing on the side of it would really help with the realism. good work.

Thanks Skwasim, fantastic compliment, means alot.

I'm not sure what all hardware will be in my new PC but when I have the specs I will post them on here. From what I have been told, my computer shouldnt even be able to run WILDFIRE let alone render with it so I am very excited to see what the renders will look like with this new system. Should bea huge improvement.

Hi all... I was creating some very simple model and than rendered it ... Take alook.2006-03-02_183708_flashlifht-ARX.zipBut from some reasons it took me 25minutes of rendering onlz one picture... I think that I have not suitable graphic accelerator. (Ati RAdeon 9800XT 128MB-DDR RAM). And after the rendering in Photolux module, I can see some strips over the picture

Does anybody know why I have these littlestrips on the picture?

Very nice render

good job to

I like floor texture.
25 min is ok time for rendering in high quality (mine was over 45 min last time I render). Rendering time depends on processor, memory (RAM)and graphic card, so its not your graphic card (BTW 9800 is good graphic card).
As for strips this is weird I really don't know how and why they are created;
Maybe graphic card is problem
Did you do something in mean while you were rendering?
What did you configure for output in render preferences?, did you configure to render to full window or to file?

WowCpiotrowski!!!

Hello To you all!,

I have been working on Proe for only a couple of months so not much good yet but i hope to be troubling you soon..lol.

I only have the basic rendering that you get with proe wf2 and i am sruggling to get textures and colours to appear "real" along way from the results i have seen from the great Cpiotrowski!!!

Hope to get a model pic on here soon.

Thanks for the positve comments guys, I thought that highlighter pen was an ideal object to get me started with ISDX. Look fwd to trying something a little more adventurous next time.

CPiotrowski, I had thought about including text on the body of the pen, but would you advise modelling it in to the part orwould you think its better to apply a decal at the rendering stage? When I get time I may finish it off.

Anyway, must get back to work, thanks again everyone!

Hi Lee74

After finding out what ISDX is, and the fact that it is included in the version pf Pro-e WF2 that I use here at work, I am interested to find out more about how it works. I have found an online tutorial at http://www.profilesmagazine.com/p33/brattoli.htmlto do with Trace Sketches but I would still like to know more. Could you point me to some information and / or tutorials so I can give it a try?

Thanks

Steven

Stevenqneuk,

Thanks for that interesting link, I haven t tried to use imported sketches within ISDX as yet (haven t got to that page in the manual!

For some reason I am not able to upload adn view any of the files you guys have been posting. Im not sure what file extension you are using but I highly suggest purchasing some webspace so you can host your images online. I use ezhoster.com for my hosting site. I think its 75.00US for one year and that includes 150mb per month. So, unfortunately I cannot open or comment on that picture that MIKO posted. Email it to me MIKO and I will see if I can figure out any issues you have.

As far as the pen goes, A decal would work but I would probably model the text on it. Basically make the decision based on how the text looks on the pen. If the text is painted on then use a decal. Just make sure you make one image with the writing on it and the background color and another image just with the background color to apply to the rest of the pen. That should do it.

Thanks bro, i'm here to help and I hope it does. These are actually old settings for me but if followed as written you should achieve the same type of render that you see there.

That Forum helps me alot. I learnt many good things here. I'll try my best.

Hey CP, Thanks for the tip with regard to the pen. I decided to model the text in the end..it looks much better i think.

Cheers.

PS, how's the Mustang coming along and what other vehicles (of any, do you intend to give the Wildfire treatment?

Beautiful job, well done. Great detail!

I am done with the Mustang but I do get my new computer tomorrow probably so I will be back on the Belair very soon.

Hi Lee74

that looks amazing, the text really makes the model look, well, real. I think its great the way you have picked up the ISDX process. I can't get to grips with it myself, I cant get the sizes to look natural. I think I am driven a bit too much by dimensions

. Well as they say, practice makes, errr, me more confused lol. Well done on the pens, they are truly fantastic
